*DECOR WHORE*
Another entry I started months ago but never completed. The following is a bit of decor whoreyness that I executed a few months ago. On a whim, I purchased some whimsical glass bulbs from CB2 (Crate&Barrel's little sister store).
Not that my living room needed anymore accoutrements, but I just couldn't resist. My fetish for glass, candles, and hanging things all converged for a perfect decor storm.
Throw in a bag of IKEA 100 tea lights for $4.99....priceless. (well, $4.99, but still...5 cents a piece!)

The glass things are really light, so simple string holds it fine. The way I mounted it to the ceiling is easy. I tied a loop in the string at the top, and used double-stick mounting foam. I slipped the foam tape thru the tied loop and pressed it to the ceiling. That's it. No drilling, no mess, no hassle.

I installed these thingys in 2 locations. One gaggle over by the window, another closer to the entry foyer.

by the foyer, against a backdrop of the canvas I created back when I painted my kitchen. I used the extra paint from the living room (powder blue), dining room (tan), and kitchen (avocado), and created a Piet Mondrian-esque squares masterpiece. Decor whore much?

Nice glass lights! But I'm a little bit phobic of
glass breaking so I don't think I could have those
but it's a great idea~
So pretty! They would work great around the holidays too!
I LOVE IT.
...and that's all that needs to be said =]
Those are very whimsical.
These are awesome!
Pretty! But I'd be concerned that the metal tea light candle holders might heat up enough to break the glass. At least, that's what I was told at the one "candle party" I went to at the behest of a friend once, which was why they had their tea lights in plastic holders.
I would hit my head on them. No doubt. So no things get hung at that level in my own. Since you are shorter, you are ok. You won't hit them. Very cute tho dear. Kudos to you.
@WehoRoy - i hope your bitchiness doesn't get lost in the ESL translation dear.
LOL at the title!
Would you like to be the interior decorator at the HC??
